Excavator 05:45
Rolling down the road at twenty miles an hour, I wasn't built or speed I was built for power, I've got a belly full of fuel spewing smoke and thunder, I'm a mean machine I'm a world wonder. I'm a digging machine, a fucking machine, I'm an earthmover baby, do you know what I mean? a digging machine, a fucking machine. I'm an excavator, see you later. Pardon me son, you got something to say? I'm a behemoth baby, just get out of my way, I've got 32 tonnes rolling down this road, I'm a big old boy, I'm the motherload. I'm a digging machine, a fucking machine, I'm an earthmover baby, do you know what I mean? a digging machine, a fucking machine. I'm an excavator, see you later. Gonna make the earth move, can you feel the steel? Gonna fuck shit up, gonna make you kneel, digging so many holes, it's a sin, I might just dig up yours, then fill it in. I'm a digging machine, a fucking machine, I'm an earthmover baby, do you know what I mean? a digging machine, a fucking machine. I'm an excavator, see you later.

about

The first studio album from Scottish duo Melted Messiah is released on August 14th 2021.

Formed in 2012, the band has evolved into an incredibly unique malevolent, yet enigmatic force. Nothing like anything else that the Scottish metal scene has produced.

The untitled debut contains six tracks.

All of them take the listener on a vile emotional rollercoaster, telling tales of abuse, desperation, despair and torment; with a murder ballad and some epic battles thrown in for good measure.

Although it is difficult to pin the band down to a particular subgenre, it is definitely metal. Influences come from all over the place and the weird marriage of elements of sludge, doom, stoner rock, drone, thrash, black metal and even jazz is definitely heavy.

Mark Golder's filthy riffs and Jon Holt's pounding, trashy yet intricate, drums are coupled with Golder's deranged screaming and wailing vocals which wouldn't seem out of place on a DSBM album. The listener is invited to pay attention, but not to sit comfortably.

Recorded almost entirely live at Edinburgh's Secret Basement Studio, the album is lo-fi, raw and unpolished. Minimal processing has ensured that there is a certain honesty to the recording; which is a consequence of staying true to the band's desire to capture an accurate representation of their live sound in all its feedback-drenched glory.
